President Obama transparency means nothing

We do not want to sound like a broken record. We sat here for eight years and watched the lame stream media rip President Bush over everything. They claimed he and VP Dick Cheney were one day masterminding world plots and takeovers, and the next day they were too stupid to spell cat. That is when President Obama said he was going to have the most transparent white house in history; we wish someone would hold him to that. This week we find out that seven experts who advised President Obama on how to deal with offshore drilling safety after the Deepwater Horizon explosion are accusing his administration of misrepresenting their views to make it appear that they supported a six-month drilling moratorium. They stood after they read the report and said this is something that they actually oppose. The National Academy of Engineering, say Interior Secretary Ken Salazar modified their report last month, after they signed it, to include two paragraphs calling for the moratorium on existing drilling and new permits. Salazar reported to Obama the panel of seven experts had called for a six-month moratorium on permits for new wells being drilled using floating rigs and an immediate halt to drilling operations. Salazar apologized to those experts Thursday. The report was quite a bit different then what the way they had left it so The National Academy of Engineering wanted to distance ourselves from that recommendation. Salazar said It was not their decision on the moratorium. It was my decision and the president’s decision to move forward. The bottom line is the oil rig explosion occurred while the well was being shut down. This much more dangerous than continuing ongoing drilling projects already in action. So not only are they not really transparent they can add they embellish finding to suit their agenda, imagine the skewering President Bush would have gotten for this. The outrage from the lame stream media is deafening, cue the crickets sound.
