Vocal Group Hall of Fame

We wanted to let you know about The Vocal Group Hall of Fame Foundation at the Columbia Theatre on 82 West State Street in Sharon, Pennsylvania. The Vocal Hall of Fame was created by Tony Butala from the singing group The Lettermen. Tony conceived the idea of The Vocal Group Hall of Fame in the early 1960’s. His dream of a lifetime was realized in 1998 when he and a financial partner in his hometown of Sharon, Pennsylvania opened The Vocal Group Hall of Fame & Museum Company and began inducting vocal groups into The Vocal Group Hall of Fame. It really a step into the past and is a great take if you are in the area. If you can make it there for an induction weekend the concerts are great as they are daylong events with some the greatest vocal groups of all time. Some of the great inducted include The Monkees, Sly & The Family Stone, Tony Orlando and Dawn, Kool & The Gang, The Traveling Wilbury’s and Sam & Dave just to name a few. The Vocal Group Hall of Fame Museum, Restaurant, Banquet Center, Malt Shop and Piano Bar is a great place to spend the day hear some great music and enjoy the sounds of some of the greatest singer in the history of music.
