They provide recent college graduates and career changers in STEM fields with a $30,000 stipend to complete an intensive master’s degree program at one of fourteen participating universities. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, or math. They are looking for the best colleges have to offer but that is not the only requirement. You must Have completed an undergraduate degree in a STEM field by June 2011, graduating with a 3.0 GPA or higher and demonstrate a commitment to the program and all of the goals. This is a great way to complete a field-based master’s degree in teacher education. You will also agree to commit to teach for at least three years in a high-need school.
