President Obama less people watching

Saturday, September 10th, 2011

<span style=”font-size: 12pt; color: black; font-family: Arial”> An the hits just keep on coming as the President wanted to make a big splash with the jobs speech. He waited until after the GOP debate, he waited until after his vacation, he waited to too long some people say. What President Obama did not see coming was if you wait too long and if you take with no action it becomes the boy who cried wolf.  When President Obama did deliver his jobs speech it garnered the lowest ratings he has received for any address to a joint session of Congress of his presidency. There were 31.5 million viewers for the speech just under the 32.1 million viewers for the healthcare speech in 2009 do we see a trend. Let us compare a little more remember the good ole days the first speech to a joint session of Congress in February 2009, President Obama drew 52.4 million viewers. When he did the first official State of the Union Address on January 2010 drew 48 million viewers and this year the number dropped to 42.8 million. The problem is the numbers do not lie the shine is dull, the rhetoric is old and to say we have heard it before is an understatement. The good news is less people are actually listening and maybe everyone is starting to wake up.

President Obama fall short

Friday, September 9th, 2011

President Obama is once again late to the party, saying nothing new, and a plan that needs magic in order to work. It is hard to believe his base can still see him as anything more than an empty suit. The idea that he waited to give this speech made sure it was after a GOP debate and supposedly worked on it for weeks, leaves it not only lacking imagination but substance. Just because you yell from the teleprompter at congress to pass this bill at least 12-14 times does not mean they should. The speech was fine they always are, the speech was right as these thing can be done, the speech was once again missing something. He did not say how to do it or how it was going to be paid for. We know he said he is going to have super committee make extra cuts. This may work with the Obama zombies and the lame stream media but we watched over the summer as they tried to cut and fell so short the Standard and Poor dropped the US triple A rating. The bottom line is once again this guy gave us nothing and expects everyone to follow a hollow plan. This is nothing new but to say that this was even a plan and scream pass this bill is another testament to how this President Obama experience was a huge failure and will take years to recover from.

Rescue Me Finale

Wednesday, September 7th, 2011

The end of Rescue Me went out with more of a fizzle than a bang. The best part of the show was you never knew when Tommy was in real time or in his mind. Everyone knows that inside that mind is a deep dark place. When you match up a series final against others the Rescue Me finale will go down as the series was headed to an end with about four weeks to go. The bottom line is the finale is what is remembered and as the second to last show ended we did not know anyone’s fate. The show started with a funeral for five firefighters and the lieutenant giving a rousing eulogy. This was in Tommy’s mind as we find the reserve is true the Lieutenant is died and the firehouse is wounded but still together. Tommy struggles with all this and needs to retire as the weight of everything is crashing down on him. The relationship between everyone Tommy deals with changes as he struggles with his choice to move on. Watching Tommy tries to adapt to a life without work and being there for his family. There is a famous final scene

Sons of Anarchy Season Three returns

Tuesday, September 6th, 2011

This is a great week for FX even if it is bittersweet. We have the end of Rescue Me after seven seasons on Wednesday but before that the return of SOA. The boys of Charming return from prison and on to the screen as Sons of Anarchy makes a return for season three. This season will see how the bike club will recover from double crossing the IRA and getting into bed with Russians. Where is the relationship going between Jakes and the doctor? They are coming back to town after a fourteen month bid for violating parole. The state of the local police was in question and have they drawn attention of federal authorities now that their reach has gone across the pond to another continent. This might be the best show on television for the crew at Tea512 as it seems to be the one we look forward to the most. We have seen a lot of our favorites disappear as 2011 sees the end of Friday Night Lights, Rescue Me and Lie To Me. The good news is we get a full season of SOA and you had better hold on tight because it always bumpy ride. The best thing about Sons is the as the show plot develops you think you understand where it is going but they always have a secret you do not see coming. There are always twists and turns that make you stay on the edge of your seat. Welcome back to Charming.

President Obama Uncle arrested for DUI

Thursday, September 1st, 2011

When the lame stream media wants to say they are fair and balanced they decide what news you should hear about. That is why it took five days for you to hear Onyango Obama, President Obama’s 67 year old uncle, was arrested after police said he made a rolling stop through a stop sign and nearly caused a cruiser to strike his sport utility vehicle. Since this happened in our backyard it has taken over the news cycle. ICE has been trying to deport him for 20 years, he has a fake social security number, a driver’s license renewed five times and he works and pays taxes. How hard could have been to find? The best part of the story is the night of the arrest when asked for his phone call he said call the white house, funny the president was on vacation in the vineyard at the time less than 50 miles from Framingham where Onyango was being held. We also wanted to make you aware the Governor Patrick a close friend of the Obama administration fly out to Washington for a secret unrelated meeting. We try not to touch local issues but this finally went worldwide after lame stream sat on it for five days and the Patrick story is nowhere to be found either.

Logan Airport Reacts 10 years too late

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

When you look to the government for protection you need to be careful. When there is overlap in agencies you need to be worries. When the right hand does not know what the left is doing you get 9/11. This was why the Department of Homeland Security was created. The idea is to have one clearing house for all information so the CIA, FBI, and Pentagon are all together. The 9/11 attacks originated out of Logan International this is where two fo the four plane left from and tactically it made sense. This is an International airport it has non-stops to California so the planes need 3000 miles of jet fuel. Since Manhattan is only 250 miles away it made the most sense. This does not mean Logan does not need to understand that threat moving forward even if they did not see it coming. So they have reacted ten years later to create the first airport-based Joint Terrorism Task Force in the nation. There are 27.4 million passengers per year that pass through Logan Airport so this is a move that is welcomed even if it was ten years in the making. The new Joint Terrorism Task Force allows Massport, the FBI, the TSA, and others to share information more efficiently, we are wondering if this really ever works.

President Obama bothers us

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011

Why does this president bother us so much? We cannot take it and everyday that we think if it was a Republican we would not be upset. The truth is this President bothers us so because he is just rubbing our face in it every day. We did not like President Clinton or President Carter but everything they did was not a huge slap in the face the way President Obama has. Another perfect example is how they even go on vacation. Did you know his family left for the islands on different planes? This would not be a big deal except the first lady and kids went on a special plane from DC right to the islands. Four hours later the president left arriving on Cape Cod and connecting flight to the islands. The problem is they both left from the White House. Why did they not travel together, why could the whole family not have waited? Why when most American cannot afford a vacation does this first family create more expense for the taxpayers to pay for? This is the reason this president bothers us so much, he does not have a plan, he makes congress do his dirty work, and he spends our money like he has no regard for where it comes from. Mr. President that money is from taxes collected from those Americans that still have jobs and it would be nice if you could pitch in and cut corners yourself.

Campaign money for the senate

Friday, August 19th, 2011

There is bad news on the campaign donation fund. We thought for sure the democrats would be taking on the chin. The congress is not well liked but we thought at least the republicans would have a loyal following. The way President Obama, democrats and lame stream media talk about the rich republicans are protecting their wealth. Turns out if that is the case the money is not being given to the GOP. The numbers are in for July and it turns out that at least for that month it was even as the Senate campaigns for both parties raised $2.7 million. This did not help to the total as the Democrats still hold about a 2-to-1 advantage in cash on hand. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee says at July end they have $9.2 million in the bank. The National Republican Senatorial Committee ended the month with $4.14 million in the bank. The number that is typical is The National Republican Senatorial Committee has raised $24.25 million in 2011 and has no debt. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has raised $26.2 million this year and has $1.8 million in debt, does that not say it all about whom we should elect. This money is used by the parties to support Senate races in key states.

Budget cuts for federal offices

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

We remember last year when President Obama forced the federal agencies to further cut budgets. This was a small cut of lee than two percent but you would have thought he slashed their entire budget. It has become that time again and the Obama administration sent out the first attempt as they want federal agencies to save money. The White House budget chief Jacob Lew has ordered agency heads to submit spending plans for the upcoming budget at least five percent below the current year levels. Jacob Lew wants them to propose ways to trim a total of at least ten percent of their spending. We have to applaud this as a great start to finding spending cuts and we are pretty sure they are required under the recent debt-ceiling agreement. The agreement reached did create a series of annual spending targets and would save tens of billions of dollars a year. We are not sure this will work as the American Federation of Government Employees, which represents more than 625,000 federal workers and employees of the District of Columbia in opposition they said this will equal job destruction, we would counter by is that such a bad thing. Based on the request federal agencies would need to trim will more than $1 trillion of this year’s $3.8 trillion federal budget. Lew suggests that savings can be found by eliminating unneeded programs and making agencies more efficient. This sounds great and at least the dialog is open.
