OccupyBoston wasting our plow money

October 30th, 2011

Now that we have had our first snowfall the city and towns needed to breakout the sanders and plows. We know it was less than three inches but they were out there anyway. We always like after a couple of good storms the town always start with we have exhausted the budget for snow removal. We wonder how they cannot budget enough but that is part of the farce they use to claim a balanced budget. We cannot wait for Boston to make the claim this year as Mayor Menino has been paying police round the clock to baby sit the OccupyBoston movement. We are sure this was not budgeted and really was hoping for a huge snow fall to hammer the movement. It is just a shame that the rules all play under are not the same as we are sure the movement is doing good things and making people aware. When you come down to it they did not obey the rules the Tea Party was forced to abide by and the taxpayers are fitting the bill as they demonstrate. Every action has a reaction and this is going to be the reaction when the city is crying poor mouth we will look back on why this was allowed to go on this long as taxpayers fit the bill.

OccupySan Diego all over

October 28th, 2011

When you think badass police does San Diego come to mind? Well it be said San Diego is the first city with stones to stand up. They sent a legion of officers in riot gear cleared Occupy San Diego protesters out of their unauthorized urban squatters’ camp at Civic Center Plaza. The dismantling of the downtown tent community, deemed an unlawful assembly by the city, began about 2 a.m. and lasted roughly 45 minutes, according to San Diego police. Some of the demonstrators relocated south to Children’s Park. Since that recreation area is closed daily between midnight and 6 a.m., officers cleared it. Participants in the three-week-old rally later reassembled for a solidarity march. This we are hopeful is the road map and the idea is they did not let it turn into more than it should have been. This is why OccupyWallSt and OccupyBoston have been giving legs. We think OccupyBoston is headed for trouble as a nor’easter is bearing down on the state this weekend. That will be the only thing that moves them because it is clear the mayor will not. San Diego just jumped a peg on the best cities to live as if the perfect year round weather was not enough, this is the icing on the cake.

President Obama only likes favoritism media for the left

October 16th, 2011

Files under you have got to be kidding me. This week we heard White House chief of staff Bill Daley saying that he knew it may surprise people, some people that there are certain people in the media who do seem at times to carry the water for certain, piece of the political spectrum. Is this guy for real, they have no problem with NBC, CBS, ABC, and MSNBC being a cheerleader for President Obama for the last three plus years? Fox is the problem because during a presser President Obama was asked by Ed Henry of Fox News about something Mitt Romney challenging President Obama’s credentials on foreign policy in the wake of the Iranian assassination plot. President Obama did not like it one bit and responded by saying are you a Romney spokesperson. They have been caught off guard because even though the media leans left they understand one of their own was shown up for asking a simple relevant question. Daley was pressed the next day avoided the question and went on about the economy and the middle class. The bottom line is why would the president respond that way to a reporter? Does he not think President Bush had to answer these questions about what he was saying during the 2008 campaign? We know the lame stream take a lot of abuse on these pages but this time we feel they did the right thing calling their guy out for being no so transparent. This of course at the same time if you read between the lines is very transparent.

Obamacare going down fast

October 15th, 2011

The Obamacare dream is starting to become a nightmare for the White House everyone knew it was a scary proposition but thought they would long gone before the problems arise. The White House appears to be caught not knowing what to say on the fate of a financially troubled long-term care program in the health overhaul law. The CLASS Act, a major new program intended to provide affordable long-term care insurance. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said the administration would not proceed with the plan because she has been unable to find a way to make the program financially solvent. No kidding this after the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office issued a ruling that cleared the way for repealing the CLASS Act, but the administration rejected that. This case of having your cake and eat it too from the White House. Paying for long-term care for a frail, elderly family member is a major financial dilemma for America’s middle class. Medicare only covers short-term nursing home stays, for patients in rehab. The system right now bleeds Americans dry as to be eligible for Medicaid, people have to spend most of their assets, basically making themselves broke or just lose the money to the system. The Community Living Assistance Services and Supports program was supposed to help provide an answer. The problem is long term care is expensive and when you have phony baloney numbers to start you cannot fund this because people’s lives are at stake. We are trying to not sound like we told you so here but Sarah Palin did say there would be death panels not so far off at this point.

GOP has a plan for USA

October 14th, 2011

We love the new approach the GOP has creating jobs it seems more realistic than President Obama plan the democrats do not even like. Remember he jeered pass this bill as everyone waited and it never moved. The GOP has something called Jobs through Growth Act which is a little of this and lot of that. They are looking for tax reform and cuts. They include steps to require balanced budget repeal Obamacare, lift prohibitions on offshore energy exploration and promote U.S. trade. This was a shot across the bow of the White House he kept saying the GOP says no but they have no plan. We wonder if this has the support of Senate 47 Republicans. When it comes to noise Democratic Senator Charles Schumer jumped first calling this a political fig leaf that would likely add to the deficit while doing nothing to create jobs. The bill was unveiled two days after Republicans used a procedural move in the Senate to block Obama’s $447 billion jobs package. The next step for President Obama and Senate Democrats is to bring up parts of his bill for individual votes, likely beginning next month. This is going to tricky as it will be framed as let us vote on putting teachers back in the classroom. You do not want to come down on the wrong side of these things with the GOP only one year away from reclaiming the White House

Herman Cain agianst what they have said

October 12th, 2011

Just a casual observation as Godfather pizza owner Herman Cain has jumped into the mix. Lame stream media have made Perry an overnight sensation before he even entered. Why did it take so long for them to mention Herman Cain. Do you think it is because they are scared to tout a candidate like Cain for the GOP? Let us face the fact the lame stream has been planting stories that the GOP is a racist party that does not care about anyone but rich old white guys. They have spent years, decades even portraying this mage and Herman Cain blasts the biggest whole in the realm of that notion. Cain is a straight talker and he has shown that he is a true conservative. We love when you look at this on the merit of national media trying to pigeon hole an entire political system as we let it happen. There is so many times we find fault with the lame stream media we try pt point these things out but they are left to get away with painting this image of the GOP. This battle will continue and there is no much this humble space can do to change it. We only want to make you aware as it is not only what the lame stream media reports but it is what they do not report.

NFL teams lean Red very Red

October 7th, 2011

We always knew of all the sports that football is the best sport. There is a new study out that ranked the teams by the volume of campaign money given by players, owners, executives and their spouses. The NFL leans right and when we say lean we do not mean a little bit. The top five teams four tilt toward the GOP in a big way. The number one team is the Houston Texans; the number is $293,100 since January of 2009. When you look inside $287,300, or 98 percent, went to Republicans. Team owner and energy executive Robert McNair has given $215,200 of his estimated $1.4 billion net worth to political causes since January 2009, almost entirely to Republicans. Number two is the San Diego Chargers, giving $171,523, with 79 percent of that going to Republicans. The big picture shows that NFL teams gave 67 percent of their money to Republicans and just 29 percent to Democrats in the years that President Obama has been in office. All together, they have given more than $1.4 million to political candidates in that time. This is great news the list of the top five GOP backers are Texans, Chargers, Jets, Cardinals, Steelers. The top five Democrat backers are Dolphins, Bengals, Falcons, Eagles, and Seahawks. Do not let this effect your fantasy football or betting for the weekend.

Palin is out for 2012

October 5th, 2011

It has been a great run for Mitt Romney over last couple of weeks and the hits just keep on coming. This was compounded when Sarah Palin pledged to stay an active part of the political discussion as she announced she will not be making a 2012 White House run. She announced on Greta Van Susteren’s Fox News show and you probably could hear Mitt Romney and Rick Perry dancing around their hotel rooms like little girls at a pajama party. Palin feels that she can do more good as the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee will get behind the nominee and make sure that Barack Obama is replaced. She still can draw large crowds and claim six-figure speaking fees, but the polls have shown two-thirds of Republicans did not want her to run anyway. We think the choice was wise and it does not mean 2016 or 2020. We also have a chance to see her as a vice presidential candidate as we are sure that door has not been closed. We think she will be mentioned by the lame streamers when that day comes. Speaking of lame streamers they have been trying to highjack the GOP process for two years and today the pimping of Palin needs to end. Here comes the touting of Ron Paul as they need a candidate they know their guy Barack can beat.

$535M does not get much anymore

September 30th, 2011

You never guess what you get for your money. Not only do you get no service and a failed business plan. Then you get a cold shoulder for asking why. If Solyndra was an ex-girlfriend you would expect it. Maybe even if it was your brother in law because even though it is family it is not your blood family. This is how taxpayers are being played as the Solyndra attorney told US officials to pound sand. They do not want to identify the company’s customers or talk about its contracts. When pressed as to the reason why, wait for it you are going to love this one, the topic would likely be the subject of investigation and possibly litigation. This sent new allegations that Solyndra is refusing to cooperate in bankruptcy proceedings. Which we expected after two of the top Solyndra executives declined to answer questions from Congress the other day invoking their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. Solyndra was awarded a $535 million federal loan as part of President Obama’s program to help spur growth in emerging forms of alternative energy. This is making this administration look foolish because of the oversight or lack thereof in handing out money. This is going to be ugly when they get their hands on those books and reveal what should have been vetted.

GOP in California eyes Reagan

September 16th, 2011

We watched and hoped two years ago in California that the GOP could prevail. So in a reduex we are hoping better result. If you remember during that California GOP fall convention, they were confident that they could drum up the support to beat three-term incumbent Democrat Senator Barbara Boxer. Flash forward to this year, as 1,000 GOP activists gather for their fall convention the big question is who is going to take on 19-year-incumbent Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein next year, since no major candidates have stepped up. Just like Boxer it seems like Feinstein is beatable as she has had recent campaign money problems and a 41 percent approval rating is the lowest of her Senate career. The word on the street is that Michael Reagan, a former conservative talk-radio host and the son of former President Ronald Reagan could be ready to jump in the ring. We will admit beating Feinstein will be harder than Boxer because 41 percent approval is still pretty high it is just the lowest since 1992 when she first won the seat. We know that with all the money President Obama is bringing in plenty will filter to California and the senate is a huge battleground so losing any seats is more than likely going to be high on the radar to stop.
